Default hmm . . .

There may be a slight difference in HP with the 230/224, the problem is the intake duration stays open a long time and exhaust isn't open as much to flow the amount of used oxygen out before the intake opens back up. THis shouldn't be a problem though. I'd say either one is a great match. If you're doing SC or TC I would go 230/224 just to keep a small amount of extra time to bring in the forced air. Other than that, both are VERY strong cams.

You could expect about 10 more peak horsepower with the TR230, and it will pull farther past peak. The TR230 also has a wicked sounding idle versus the tame idle of the 224-114.

With a few bolt ons (headers, lid, exhaust) and the TR224 112 LSA cam, I made 371rwhp and 381trq untuned. With my cutout and a good tune I could see 385+ rwhp with my mods. So the TR230 will get you 10+ more hp than that. Just a baseline for you to consider when choosing. Also, the TR224 sounds very nice through an exhaust, but through a cutout it sounds effing awesome.
