streetable is MOSTLY in the tune. If you have a good tuner you have alot of options if not get something proven. Actually the cam I am currently running is the thunder racing Cheater cam. It has made over 400hp cam only but not much over 400. specs are 214/230/.601 117lsa very sneaky cam. However its main purpose is stock exhaust cars but the ones that have made over 400 had full bolt on and m6 cars.

I've got a 224 as defined in my sig. There's a dyno graph buried in TA Pics. This is through cats and a 12 bolts with 4.11's.

Quick question guys, i am looking into the v3 rite now as a cam swap. ABQ99TA your running the v3 and you put down 404/374. 02DOUBLEUS6 is running a v2, and is putting down 413/391. Whats the reason for this?? Is this all in the tune here? Is it the difference in the heads cause of the years of cars?

It could be many things, tune, dyno, gears, rims, tires. I know I'm running cats and that will take close to 10 rw out and I'm not on stock gears anymore.
I think they are both good cams, I belive the V3 will have a little longer pull.
My dyno graph looks sweet if I new how to post it I would. There are too many factors to care to much about 9rwhp when the cars don't have the same boltons and were tuned by different poeple aswell as the dyno its self.
Good luck with you cam either way you will love it.

I want 450 RWHP from a completely stock engine with completely stock driveability...can I look at it sternly next time I open the hood and say "HEY...MAKE MORE POWER" and have my goal?

I'm not trying to be an ***...but thats how your question reads to me. YOU need to define your idea of streetable first, THEN you can probably make a better decision on how much cam you want to run.

The only way I can see to make more power than a stock F-Body LS1, and retain COMPLETELY STOCK as it left the factory ENGINE reliability (I say engine cause you'll probably break the axle, stock clutch won't take it...blah blah blah), is installing a new stock crate engine from GM. You want LS7 power, install an LS7, you want LS2 power, install an LS2...you want LS3 power...you get the idea...once you get into aftermarket cam's and such, something changes. You can have dam good streetability...but it's never quite as nice as a "stock" grind will be. The way I see it, everything behind the engine can be beefed up WITHOUT sacrificing driveability, including the clutch (if you spend enough money)...but unless you want to spend a LOT of money, you FIRST need to define what you're willing to compromise with the engine.

I made decent power and I feel that I didnt sacrafice any drivability from stock. I dd my car in the rain, snow, and sun. I bought the car bone stock down to the filter drove it for about 5k and decided I wanted more, I have since done all the mods listed in my sig and I think it still drives as close to when I had it stock.
