Default Heads and Cam

Which heads will give me the most horsepower, and what would be the best cam to use with them, and i dont want something that will make my compression really high because im going to get a procharger.

you could get killed asking that kind of question around here without doing a search first. ive been living on this site for the last 7 months and heres what ive learned. the cam will give you more power than the heads. it depends on how big of a cam you want. the G5X2 has been the cam everybodys been talking about. cartek, GTP and TEA ive seen make in the 440rwhp range with a tr 230 cam. if your gonna add a procharger your probably gonna want a 6.0 head to keep the compression down.

sorry im new. I want to do the cam first, which one will give me the most power. and i also want a lumpy idle. can i get a cam and everything i need to install it for $600

go with the G5x2, that cam is breaking records left and right. theres a guy running that cam with the bolt ons and stock heads and he rippping off high 10's, i dont know if its the same guy or not but someone with the same setup is putting out 425hp at the wheels BUT i dont know how that cam would perform with a procharger.

if your puttin a blower on the car later you need to get a "blower" cam. a G5x2 and a blower will run like crap imo.

Before even getting into what parts etc. People can usually help more, if they know what application your going to use the car for. Is it a daily driver? Street? Strip? Any emissions testing to worry about etc.
