What is the maximum amount of bore you can get in a 6 liter iron block and it still be useable and safe?

4.030, 4.060 if it's checked and can go that far but most stick to 4.030

.060 would be 414 which is what I am leaning towards. I just wanted to know it would work.

I dont think most will go .060 safely. Be sure to check it.

Last time I aasked about 4.060 on a 6.0L, the engine builder told me they went through 15-20 blocks before they found one that they felt safe taking to .060 and they said it wasn't worth it. Most places recommend a max of .030 for that reason.

we have gone .040 on a few,but try to stay at .030,not much added hp going any bigger
