Do you guys think I should go with Livernois or get my 243 heads ported for $650.00. If i do get the heads ported I would have spent just about same as the cost of the new Livernois stage 2 heads after they credit me for $300 core charge after i send them my 243. I am wondering which will flow bwtter, 243 poter or the Livernois 243 heads ? any opinions ?

it depends..is the porter familiar with ls heads? I personally know a porter that has done many types of heads for all out race cars and he even admitted that at first he hated ls heads and messed up the first few sets he did but after he did a few he is now familiar with them and gets great results out of them

I ran those heads on my C5 and was impressed with the results. I picked up 120 RWHP with their stage 1 cnc heads, stage 1 cam, and accompying bolt-on's (Headers, Intake, CAI). Stock the car ran 13.4 @ 104 mph and ran a best of 12.3 @ 119 mph with those mods.

I have them on my car with an SC-3 cam from Speed Inc and a Maggie 112. My heads are StageII 243's worked to 72cc chambers for boost. I have no complaints, they flow very well and were about half the price of AFR's that had smaller chambers. I got mine on recommendation from Ed at LM Speed saying they would work with my combo better and drop the overall price. I have no track times cause I have no local track here and I'm still working on the tune after just getting back from a short trip to Iraq.

nope. only a street tune. about 15 good WOT runs and driveability tuning . and even before the heads , I never dyno'ed the car . I installed the Predator Programmer and had that for 4 yrs and the car ran great with just bolt-ons and full weight . I'm sure there could be little more there ,but my tuner has done alot of LS1 in this area and is normally within 3 -11 hp of the dyno shops in this area. I think thats pretty good for a street tune alone with numbers that close. but i'll probably will dyno it ......one day

Ok, thanks for all you guys input. I decided to sell my 03 zo6 243 stock head and go with the Livernois head instead of porting my 243.
