Default 5.3 or ls6 with torquer v3

i have searched and have not been able to come up with good evidence to go either way. should i get 5.3's or ls6' to run with a torquer v3? either way they are going to be ported, and if i get the 5.3's i will probably be swapping the valves from the ls6 heads into them.

both heads are decent. Be sure to check PTV since the torquer v3 has a rather high lift. ~.649"

When I measured with my 5.3's and Torquer 3 I zero ( too close to measure) clearance on the intake. I had TSP mill my heads to 59cc's and used clay to measure clearance.

ive got that combo with PRC 5.3's and tqr3. TSP told me that the .644" lift on the intkae side would clear with a stock GM gasket and no additional milling

5.3L and v.3 on my '98 LS1, no flycutting at all, made 420+rwhp through a 3800stall, bolt ons and full exhaust.

Isn't it the duration that causes PTV issues? Low 230's should be fine.

They are both good heads and proven performers but if I was you and had both sets I would put the LS6 on. The combustion chamber on the LS6's are what makes them and the D shaped exhaust ports. The only advantage I would see in the 5.3 is compression that I know of but Ive never put 5.3 on LS motors in a car.

5.3s, stock GM MLS gasket, and no problems. Unmilled heads right out of the box. #s in sig.

^ Looking good man. That's what I wanted to see. That ported Fast has to be helping pretty good. So I would expect 30-35 rwhp with the heads alone on my current setup and an extra 10 or so for the LS6 and 30# SVO's.
