If you're going that radical with it, why didn't you do a SR cam? Also, why not go with a LSA around 106?

To make a long story short...I blew up the differential (case and all) then the out put shaft from the transmission blew. So by the time I got all of that sorted out it was late August...I just wanted to have some fun with the car... so I only made conservative launchs through the balance of the year.

The best in 07 was 10.88 ET 136.62 MPH (separate runs). I will get a little more aggressive with the launch this spring...thinking 10.4x is reasonable to expect...the IRS is a big draw back with the vette. Now if I was running a A4 instead of a M12 high 9's would be very possible.

To be honest I dont even know what a SR cam is..??? I just asked Patrick to spec me out a cam and let him know what my goals were. Heard he's one of the best at what he does, so I figured I'd try one of his cams. Another thing, patrick said that this cam would still be streetable, not really streetable, but still be able to cruise in it or what not. I couldnt imagine running a 106 LSA. Now that would be nuts.

That's one heck of a mph for your et. Just stick a big stall auto in it....you know you wanna. Anyways, good luck and keep me posted with your progress as I will do the same.

I based the LSA off your previous statement about how you weren't concerned with the idle, because it won't be idling. I didn't know you were at all concerned with streetability.

You guys keep giving him **** about the tuning, but if he goes to an open loop, speed-density tune, this thing's a piece of cake. That's what I'd suggest for mainly track car anyway.

Yeah, i'm not to concerned with the tune. I'm gonna get Lt1dave to do it, he's only like 40 minutes away if that. He tuned my 96ss and did an awesome job, not a single problem yet.

If you are located in Texas make the drive and let Patrick G. tune your ride for the cam he speced for you. He exclusively tunes my ride to excellence, Dyno and street. You can also see some of his other local handiwork, like my ride and a few of my friends. I aint the fastest but my car sure does scare a few on the road .

Will do fella's. Cam should be here in 10 days or less now. Springs, pushrods and rod bolts should be here around noon. Any of you guys from ohio, or ever go to edgewater dragstrip? That's where i'll be making the FIRST passes at. Plan on making some trips to Delaware, Maryland and Jersey.

that cam should rock. I have a 64chevyII Nova that I am putting a 6.0 lq9 in and staying cam only for a while. I have a f14 cam to start since it was cheap from a freind and I am going to be running a 5200 stall with a th350 and 4.30 gears in a narrowed 12 bolt . The tires are 31x13x15 M/T slicks and the car only weighed 2300 with a big block iron headed motor. The 6.0 should knock over 150 lbs off of that.

I was talking with cam motion and had him spec me a cam to see what they would recommend for a cam only setup, he speced out 242/250- .603/.613 lift on a 112 lsa +4 degrees advance.

This is a carb setup with a vic jr intake and 850 carb.

I am looking for low 10's and think it will do it with the f14 but before I swap I will be talking with Geoff from thunder on gettng me one spec'ed out

Good luck with your goals Slow z28/ss

it will idle like a Trex nothing really different. Same overlap give or take a few degrees. It should want all the rpm you can give it, good luck keeping the valvetrain together up there though unless you took it apart and put some good lifters in it and some real vavesprings.

So did you ever get it installed man? I'm curious to hear the 109LSA with such a high lift and duration. I just started my much smaller 236/236 .651.651 110lsa and its pretty dang nasty at idle.
