all around what head is better the 853's or the 5.3's im having the 5.3's ported.. would it be a notice over the stock ls1 heads?

The basic heads are the same and flow for each is close. The advantage to the 5.3 heads is the increased compression without having to mill them.
If they are ported and tunned right you will definately notice a difference.
