Default TSP heads and cam

I was looking at the heads and cam kit from texas speed and performance.

Precison Race Components Stg 1.0 LS6 Heads & Cam
The cam I want is the Magic stick V.4 and the upgraded srpings but I wanted to know if I should get a set of rocker or are the LS6 rockers that come with the heads good.

i dont think the heads come with rocker arms.
i personaly think if your going with the ms4
bypass the stage 1's and get the stage 2.5 with the bigger valves and fly cut your pistons .080" because if your changing heads why not go all the way.
the ms4 cam likes to breath so give it what it wants

most places charge 250.00 thats what i charge
but that price is with the heads off of the car
you can look to spend that on top of the head install price if they have to pull the heads

I was looking at this exact setup. What if you stayed with the stage 1 heads and didnt flycut the pistons?

How is that setup for every day driving? Is it hard on the cam? .....if you dont mind me sqeezing in a question here 1999blackz28. if you do i will just delete this post. thanks.

I Have Also Been Considering Tsp 2.5 Ls6 Heads W/ A Ms4 Cam. At First I Was Going To Buy Tfs,but For The Same Price As The Heads I Can Get A Full H/c Package. I Was Also Wondering If I Could Run 1.75 Roller Rockers With The Tsp Set-up Without Having To Cut The Pistons. Any Info Is Greatly Appreciated!

with the stage 1 heads you do not have to fly cut if you do not have them milled and use a stock thickness head gasket because they have the stock size valves.
the way i see and tell my customers is changing heads is a big deal and very pricey if you have to pay for it. ok your already going with a big cam so give it a good head and only do it once because eventually your gonna want more the stage 1 heads are going to limit you. now alot of people get scared when you say fly cut. its noth that big of deal grap a set of feeler gauges and look at .080" its not that thick the most you can take off of stock pistons is .120".
so just some food for thaught do it once and be done with it.

the ms4 cam has a very fast ramp rate so your gonna wanna use 1.7 factory ratio rockers. with the 2.5's you have to fly cut no matter what because they have bigger valves than stock heads.

THANKS FOR THE INFO! LETS SAY I DECIDED TO DO A MS4 KIT ONLY WITH ALL SUPPORTING MODS,WITH STOCK LS1 HEADS. JUST HOW MUCH POWER WOULD I ACTUALLY GAIN WITH THE PRC 2.5 LS6 HEADS OVER MY STOCK HEADS? I HAVE FLP LONG TUBES, NO CATS,SLP CENTER EXHAUST,AND AN AIR
LID RIGHT NOW. I'M WAITING ON MY PORTED TB AND 25% UD PULLEY NOW.
I AM HOPING TO GET AROUND 410-420 AT THE WHEELS N/A.

with a good tune you should be in the neighbor hood of 430 to 440 at the rear wheels n/a. to top it of with those heads and cam i would give it a fast90/90 combo as well. but as far as the ms4 only with stock heads around 400 to 410 rwhp

Stage 1s are worth almost 50 hp. Stage 2.5s pickup the whole power curve. You can definately tell when you hit your powerband.

over time do you think daily driving them will make them flatten out more so than a smaller cam?

I would worry more about the spring life than waring down cam lobes.
