make dam sure those cylinder bolthead holes are cleaned. good job and good luck. and don't forget to follow this procedure when you put your rocker arm back on .

For cleaning the carbon off the pistons and the old gasket material off the deck I used plastic bondo spatulas or whatever they are called and that gasket remover in a can. It works well for me. Also as a suggestion as a matter of precaution since you are doing heads/cam consider doing some rod bolts while you have your engine apart...its much easier then attempting to do it while its in the car. I just did mine over the weekend on the stand and it took no time at all.
