What can I expect to pay??
first off yes you can do the cam swap by yourself..just need tools and PATIENCE..you can go to www.ls1howto.com and there are numerous books that will show you step by step how to do the swap...and what tools are required...
Its expensive and all adds up, also depends on what parts your getting.
Around $1800 total is my guess.
Labor would be where you save if u do it yourself. My guess its near 400-600.

it's around $1500 IF you have a shop do all the work, then you might as well do ported LS6 oil pump and LS2 timing chain. then of course you need a tune depending on how big your cam is. I say do the heads too while you're at it.
