Default How big a deal is this?

Well I ordered my cam with goodies and headers and stuff....

basically I'm wondering... my poly motor mounts wont be here till monday. and was really looking forward to doing some work on the car this weekend. Since installing the headers is out of the question now. How big a deal is it If I installed the cam, and ran it for a week on stock manifolds until next weekend?
or should I wait and do the headers first?

thanks!

Go for it. The worse that could happen is that you don't make the most out of your setup. Plenty of guys run cheater cams w/ stock manifolds for the sleeper look!

You'll be fine.. plus this way you get to feel how much the headers compliment your setup.. And it's only a week.. I'd hold off on any kind of dyno tune until after the headers though...

you can do whichever you have time for. Either will be just fine, just wait to tune until everything's done.

So you aren't doing lifters with the cam?? If you are then it's a no-brainer.

I agree, I voted to swap it but why not just wait to drive it when the headers come and have it ready to throw them on when it comes.

If you pay for returning your pcm ,i would wait and do both together, because you will haft to tune for each mod.

He is waiting to tune until after both mods. He is only going to be cammed for a week before the headers, he's just spreading out his workload over two weekends instead of one and due to the order that parts came in, cam comes first. No big deal at all.
