Default 6.0 crank in a ls1

what would it take to put a stock 6.0 crank inside my ls1? I was think of going with a whole lq9 motor, but now i'm thinking why spend the money for another block when i have a ls1 block already... will it drop right in or will it need some machine work?

lq9, lq4, 5.3, and 5.7 all have the same stroke and would fit in any of those blocks, although i am not sure but i believe they some of the differnet cranks may be balanced different.

basically yes, same stroke

the only differance between a 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 is the bore size

you cant use a 6.0 crank due to the flexpate being built onto i believe. but i know it cant be used on anything other then the trucks.

i've got a 6.0 and the flex plate is not made on it. the rear flange is bigger than the camaro corvette ones by about a half inch, thats the only problem i see with it

Also 6.0L crank has heavier counter weights because the pistons are larger 4.0 bore. The truck pistons (LQ4/LQ9)from the factory are heavier.
