My cam vs. TR230

I have a Comp 227/227 .599"/.599" on a 110 LSA. It idles really rough. I'm looking for something with a slightly better idle, more power is welcome too. I was looking at the TR230, 230/224 .569/.563 111lsa. It seems like it would be a wash with more intake duration and less exhaust duration, but it has faster ramp rates which I would think would help with idle. Any thoughts on the swap? Thanks!

i really dont think that it will be a good idle and there wont be that much difference in power. tuning will really help out more with the idle with a great tuner. that cam you have is a strong performer IMHO.

Cool, I'm doing all my tuning right now, I'm pretty far away from any of the sponsors. I'd be happy with the cam if I could get it to idle decent.

what kind of HP are you making with that 227/227 cam?

contrary to popular beleif, the TR230 idles better than alot of standard slits ive heard, i had a tr230 and it was better than all the folowing cams( i had em all)
hotcam,custom 226/230 112, 224/224 112(bout the same here) 226.226 112,222/222 110(nice cam btw)
the tr230 made higher ppeak but a custom 224/224 220 would be a killer street cam with eratic idle an only a few idle issues.overaLL i like the tr224/112 for nice managable ertatic idle and power...
