I know this has been discussed a lot, I read all the posts from clearances and found some sponsors here run lower numbers than .0020 and there are some other who run larger than .0020. There are so many posts and so many opinions that I would like an specific opinion from someone who has build their LS1. I am using a honed 3.901 ls1 alum block and wiseco 3.897 forged pistons and scat rods, stock crank. I was thinking on getting .0025 for mains and rods but with these days search I've changed my mind and came to these clearances .0023 on mains and .0024 on rods. I would really like your opinions since alum block expands (about .0001) and would also like to know your oil pressures at idle and wot with your clearances. Thanks

I really don't think going over .002" clearance on the mains will hurt pressure. Dozens of engines, not just LSx, go out every week with .0022"-.0030" and have no problems with oil pressure that are related to bearing clearance.
Just go at least .001" for every 1" of shaft diameter and you'll be just fine. Focusing on more important issues with your engine will be time better spent.
