Not to mention the fact that it will fit tight in the cup and not twist. I have had problems with a worn lifter tray causing the lifter to twist slightly and mushrooming the roller. Get new LS2 trays, its worth the extra $20.

Do the LS2 lifters tray are the same (bolt on) in a LS6 block (5.7Lt. vs. 6.0Lt.)? and if the LS2 lifters cup fits on the LS1 lifters tray?

Cups and trays are the same thing, the LS2 are just the better version. They should bolt to any Gen III or Gen IV block... Like I mentioned we have them in our 2002 LS6 block LS1... Again SDPC is the best place to get them!

Do you have a part number? I must be out of the loop, I haven't heard of these yet, but it sounds like one of those "while im in there" parts.

edit: nevermind, found it on sdpc's site. thanks for spending more of my money for me! lol.

Default Lifters

If you are rebuilding a used LS6 then they are an inexpensive upgrade while you are in there and really nice when/or if it comes time to do another cam swap... We have them now in our 2002 LS6 block LS1...
I called SDPC yesterday looking for some info about this. The guy told me that the lifter cups/guides are the same as the lifters tray (I didn't know because my ignorance). Told me that the lifters tray for LS1, LS6 and LS2 blocks were different, but as I read the post again, you mentioned that the LS2 are a different design and the lifters fits tight on them, but can be use in my LS6 blocks as you did; any comment about this? Adding some info to the lifters info; this "caddy" name is a short cut for a complete name, how I order them to SDPC if you know if they has them? Do you have a part # for them? Do them (Caddy) are the equivalent to the COMP R lifters? as the COMP 850 are to the LS7 type?

Poat #11 already has the info you're asking for. "Caddy" is short, or slang for "Cadillac".

SDPC has them for a reasonable price! http://www.sdparts.com/product/88958...esEngines.aspx

If that doesn't work it is part number 88958689
