best budget head
hello, not sure of current pricing but my TSP cost $900 and they claim 307 cfm at 600 flow. guessing 215 exhaust. these have steel valves, not the vette hollow sodium filled stock ones. but mine are cast 243's , thats what i wanted. i probably should have upgraded springs. comes with ls6.
Patriot Stage III LS6/LS2/LQ9 Heads flow 320/235. Need a 4" bore for these to fit, because of the 2.08 intake valve.
Pretty good numbers for $1200.

Livernois here. They are a great bunch of great guys w/ top notch service. I haven't seen anyone that was anything but happy with their purchase.

I would suggest out AS Cast LS1 head. The head flows almost as much as the CNC'd heads and they are priced very well. Here is a link for the heads and the flow numbers.

Ok, flame me all you want for what I am about to type, but did you seriously just suggest a 2k set of heads that requires special rockers, flows less then a ported stock head, and is on backorder for almost 2 months??? You guys make nice stuff, but I don't see how you fit in this game.

I see your concern in what I am suggesting. Granted out of the heads listed our heads cost more. Basically I am just throwing out there another choice.

i was actually about to start this same thread... i have a 224 already in my car so the next thing is a set of heads. or should it be a rear end first? either way im definatly looking into the livernoise and the patriots. its my daily driver so im not too sure if i want compression to be raised... not positive on what it will affect though.
