valve spring failure results...
i have no problems replacing the springs with another set of comp springs...here is another picture for you to mull over from your throne...

That's not a very good suggestion. I would never tell someone to install something and forget about it. That's probably the main cause of things breaking is lack of proper maintenence. That or installation error which the OP hasn't responded to.
Its an ok idea on a 600 and below lift, 230 duration cam with dual springs, I havent even looked at mine till 20K and theyre fine, plus there are 2 springs to protect the motor in the event one breaks. There isnt **** to maintain on a set of springs anyway.
Not sure about those people, but I expect a particular valvetrain note and sound to come from my engine bay. A single busted spring would really mess that harmony... every start I listen to it in my garage for unexpected sounds. I hear something out of the ordinary, the engine shuts off unless I know what that noise is...
1. How did you know there was a problem in the first place? In other words, what did you hear or feel that told you to check and see if one of the springs had failed?
2. When a valve spring fails like this, what other problems could have occured along with it?
