Default 42HP For Free

You may have seen the $10 book titled 42HP for free on ebay that claims to add 42hp to a stock LS1 for essentially nothing. Is this legit? And what are the actual modifications?

There is no way you can get 42 hp with out spending anything. And if there was a way don't you think there would be a sticky about it? There are sone free mods mentioned in one of the stickies but you will not gain anything noticeable.

nothing is free in life. perhaps finding someone who has used mufflers and stuff that they're giving away? I don't have time for my full economical opinion of costs, but just know it's still not free in the end. plus it cost $10 + s/h (if applicable) + time costs for the book alone.

You can find any of the free mods, and even the ones that don't work on this site. Save your cash and start hitting the search button!

.....and by the way, how can it be 42 hp for free if the book is $10?

if your gonna spend 10 bucks buy one of those books that teach you about the LS1/LS6 motor and in there it shows how to do the free mods! they have them at autozone, and at Performance automotive wherehouse.

42hp for free on an ls1? i dont know, maybe by taking out the screen on the MAF, porting the throttle body, getting better spark plugs (ahh, wait, that means you would have to purchase, scratch that), taking off the A/C belt, gutting the cats, removing the catback exhaust, doing that paperclip trick to your MAF, and um, oh loosing weight! It might sound like ****, but you might have an extra 25 hp there, but i wouldn't recommend it unless it was a hooptie!

losing weight wont gain you more HP, but it might make well for getting down the track faster.
