4000 stall.. 3.23s..

although 373s would be ideal.. and 410s even better.. but you can run them with higher gears.. you just need a big stall to make up for it..

Yes, this cam needs to breath, and yes you will be reving the engine to 7k with the right mods. In an auto, I would think a 4,500stall and 4.10 gear would be ideal....If you think a 4.10 gear in a ten bolt is a smart idea...
Im just going by when the car actually starts to pull. When you drive the car it feels like a regular bolt on car untill 6k and then it feels like a turbo kicked in or you started spraying. And then you shift right away, "at 6800 rpm" The dyno sheet says its making decent power but it dont pull till 6k. Im sure half the problem is that hes running a 3.73 though. I've driven cars with smaller cams that are way faster through the whole rpm range. 3rd and 4th gear pull pretty hard though in that car.

yeah, there is something wrong there. I have an M6, so the feel is a little different but the power band should be the same. Mine idles like a beast, daily drives very well with no loss in low rpm tq compared to stock. At 4000 rpm, the thing wakes up like a bat outta hell. So of course, my problem is trying to launch the car with the current 3.42 gears.

ms4 and bolt ons here. No u/d pulley, made 390 to the wheels with a unlocked 3500 stall converter. Just found out I've had a leaker intake manifold this whole time....why tuning has been a bitch. I have an ls6 intake manifold with the stock ls1 coolant lines....grinded down the fins under the ls6, but I guess that wasn't enough. So obviously I have more power left on the table now.

i pulled 116mph before the cam and only change i made was the cam with same conditions air condition and trapped 123mph...i only have a 230/230 cam so there are other options...the gain was 123-116= 70rwhp we can say 60rwhp cause i ported the throttle body a hair more and dropped about 30lbs...

I do not mean to hijack the thread by anymeans so if my post bothers you let me know and I will make my own thread, I just saw all the ms4 guys in here and need a couple questions answered. I just put the ms4 in 2 days ago and the install was flawless, but I'm having a hell of a time to get it to idle. Yes I know i need a tune but is there anything temporary to keep the beast idled? I have tried adjusting the idler screw but that doesnt seem to be enough, it just surges too much and dies, also once i finally get it to idle as soon as i blip the throttle just a tad she dies again.

i have the ms3. i love my cam. and they say the ms4 will out perform the ms3. but i will prove that statement wrong!
I run right past my buddies full bolt on MS3 WS6 with ease.

My car made 390 rwhp with JUST the MS4 and a lid, no free mods, no longtubes, no nothin. The car now has longtubes and quite a bit of other bolt ons and I love it. Sure there are other cams that make better bottom end torque, but when this thing reaches the upper rpms, hold on.
