Even better than the new design YT Ultralights? Have you tried them? I know there were issues with the earlier design (mainly weight). From what I have heard the newer design places less weight over the valve tips and can handle 7000 plus rpm fine. Just reading a Pat G thread and he had his limiter set at 7200 with no valve control issues. The stockers flex a lot sacrificing lift and are not actually true rollers. I know the rebuilt HS stockers are a big improvement over stock and thats what I have probably decided to run. I appreciate your input as you have much more real life experince to draw upon than I.

I have checked the wipe pattern on the stock rockers and the Yella Terra's. There is no comparison, especially as you start increasing lift over the stock lift. The stock rockers scrub a very wide pattern on the valve stem and are almost impossible to correct (I gave up). No question in my mind, a properly set up Yella Terra is superior to the stock rocker.

We use the stock rocker arms on our shop car engine 7800rpm shift points and 1154rwhp
using PSI CT1225 valve springs with 160psi on the seat
stock LS7 lifters too
the shop car ran 8.60 5 days in a row on drag week and drove 1000 miles between the tracks.

Hmm .. I like nice round numbers. Thanks for the testimony to real world application Fraser. Seems like YT's MAY be better .. but stockers will work just fine for the stoutest of street cars.

Some individuals have an agenda and tactics when it comes to presenting their product, the current yella terra rockers are an improvement over earlier versions.
