Default ls1 or ls2 Timing set

I was looking at Thunder racings website and not sure what the difference is.

I would like to know the difference and also which I should go with .

2000 z28 m6.

you can keep your gears and just use the ls2 chain. the ls2 chain is heavy duty.

LS2 chain is beefier than LS1. You could run the chain using your LS1 timing gears, just the chain.

Just go with the LS2 chain, its stronger than the factory ls1 chain for $35-40

i guess I have a mis understanding of what you guys are talking about. Take a look at this link:

The bottom two are ls2, and the bottom one is ls1. Which should i go with? or is there something else in the market everyone else is using?

you wanna go with thee after market timing chain made for the LS1 not the LS2! the LS2 gears are different

Most posters here assumed you were talking about the stock OEM chains. The stock OEM LS2 timing chain is much stronger with beefier side plates. I run this chain along with the timing chain dampner with zero problems. If you want to run an aftermarket chain, then run the LS1 version shown in your link. Hope this helps.
