Default Tired of searching and need to pick

i have a 2002 escalade lq9 going into my car with stock heads that have a little port work and dual valve springs good for .660 lift. Also this will be a stock rebuilt bottom with arp rod bolts/head studs, professional products 85mm throttle body and intakemanifold , pacesetter long tubes, ORY, magnaflow cat-back, and intake. I am stuck on which cam to get, my goal is to get 430whp on motor. I was leaning towards the magic stick 3 and would that goal be realistic? Also i was wondering which size injectors i should go with because the car may see spray eventually and it already has a walbro in it.

thanks guys

first of all DO NOT waste your money on that POS pro. products intake, it looks nice but its a peice of garbage, i tried it 2 times for customers and both times we sent them back, they dont use the factory style o ring gaskets, they use a flat old chevy type of gasket. it will leak like a SOB, toe port alignment on the manifolds and the gaskets are terrible, your asking for big trouble with it, go with a bbk if you want an aluminum intake or stick with an ls6, im an FI guy so I would say 60s. there not going to be much more money then any other size and there very easy to tune still and no mater what you do down the road you will never have to get a bigger injector unless your going crazy like me. 430 with a m6 is realistic, what is your compression? how much you drive the car will be a factor in how big of cam you go with in my opinion. also if your planning on going with NOS down the road you should factor that into your cam selection now

yea ive heard some bad things about the pro product intake so i guess i will count that out and get a fast or an ls6. I wont drive the car alot ecept for in low traffic or at the track. What do you mean by 60 injectors? Does that mean 60lb? thanks for the input.

Definately look to cylinder head work over the intake IMHO. You could get your cores ported valve job & assembly for $650! That is a proven 40hp gain! Add that to a camshaft like the MS3 or MS4 & you'll have big HP with increased torque from those extra cubes!

Changing the head gasket thickness to alter compression ratio is like sleeping with a fat chick, you never know what you're gonna get. For all practical purposes, consider the head gasket a constant that cannot be tampered with and simply use OE spec'd head gaskets. Try to avoid changing the squish volume around the chambers at all cost, and instead mill the heads and/or block or get different pistons to change the compression ratio.

Why not run a thinner gasket to improve quench and lower the chance of detonation instead of mill. At least that is how I understand it You lose a little flow when you mill too and you won't lose that flow with a thinner gasket either, though I realize we are not talking much here. Lots on here are running thinner gaskets with no issues and swapping pistons is not an option for many/ most of us. As long is PTV clearance is good what is the issue?
