Yeah. I would consider it for a street/strip weekend warrior, but probably not your DD. Why do you want such a big cam? If you are after power I would look in the mid 230 duration 600 lift range. If you want a cam for cool factor, get one that has good driveabilty and lots of valve overlap.

Try driving a bigger cammed car before taking the plunge into one first though.

Well that question is a matter of opinion. What is DD? (not cup size)

If you can bear with loss of gas mileage, fumes from unburned exhaust, surging and bucking, loudness and car shakes then that cam will deliver the performance at higher rpm bruizing.

If not but still like it nice and cammed, look at their TV2 but on a 111+2 LSA
232/234 .595/.598 111+2 LSA, you'd like that, you will need headers though, at least Pacesetters with Y pipe. (I didn't see that in your sig)

The MS4 can be a DD just fine, IF you have a good tuner who is willing to spend the time to make it run right it will have no ill affects.

i dd mine for a year .... wasn't bad but I think if I would have done over I would have not just stuffed the biggest cam in there instead I would've gotten the best combo of parts to work together To produce my desired goal... now on a side note the cam was a screamer and again truly wasn't bad to drive in my m6 car. However as pred-z knows I didn't have the proper combo to yeild a total beast and the results were that in the end with a few problems and a half realized combo I was getting beat by cars with much smaller cams that had better overall combos.....*(see below) This wasn't TSP fault at all it was mine being a stupid cam buyer.... If you get this cam make sure that you have all your ducks in a row to get the car that you want... i.e. full bolt on's, really good exhuast, and a really good tune

* the other combos that beat me were mostly from TSP just so you guys know...

ms4 is killer if your on a budget.... you can run with other ls1s that have heads and cam... while only having a cam..

I have the MS3 it isn't to bad once you get used to it. Obviously with my current mods a smaller cam would have been alot better, but when i think of the future the MS3 should do real well with what i want. The thing is though im so used to having the unburned fuel smell, the shaking of the car, and the intense sound. That when i get into my dads vette or another car and drive, i feel completely out of place.

Besides the vibration when your sitting still(and extreme lope), my Z drives just the same as it did stock when your putting around town. I have no bucking or any of the other issues that some people associate with big cams. It's just freaking loud! As far as a dd, you need to go drive a car with the MS4 and see for yourself, but I think if you have a good tune and love to only be able to hear your car and nothing else at the red light it would be fine.
