Thanks for the vid. I can not wait to get the cam installed and good tune.
Was your car drivable with out a tune. I may have to take it somewhere to get tune after the install, My current tune will need to be updated.

I think you will beat him, but it won't be a rape like some say. They don't have 390 crank hp, thats BS. They have been able to dyno 370rwhp in STOCK form. So yea you'll most likely beat him, but he'll be right there behind ya...

x3. Please, guys. Dude's gotta suck at life if he can't pull a stock cobra with a CAM and bolt ons. Keep in mind though that a completely stock 03-04 should dyno right around 375rwhp, maybe 380 TOPS.

I would say if you run him form down low you should get the jump on him long enought to hold him off. i ran a stock convert 03 from a 50roll when i had a catback. and i pulled on him by two cars.

How is that even possible? Not saying you're lying, but I don't understand how your car with a catback could pull a 375rwhp stock cobra. Yea they might weigh a little more, being a convertible and all, but still... weird..

I had a 03 or 04 cobra trying to do a fly by on me once but i seen him coming and when i went to second and stomped it i held his fly-by off. All my car had then was lid and catbcak. My car also only has the ls1 intake. With a cam i dont see how you could lose unless you suck at driving. Just remember with a pulley those cobras get alot quicker and still look stock.

they call it flyby for a reason... meaning he came by at 100 while you were doing 60.. full bolt on and a cam with him at WOT... you wouldnt stand a chance.. might need to rephrase that a little bit...
maybe he was two car lengths back and kicked it.. then you kicked it when he was even with you????

I beat one with a comp 224/581 cam, stock LS1 Intake, stock heads, 3200 Vig, 3.23 gears with my wife on the passenger side.We went from a 20mph roll and around 80 i had about 1 1/2 cars and was starting to pull good. I could have killed it from a dead stop with my drag radials. Should will not have any problem from a stock cobra, but a pullied one will be a different story.

cobras are not all that when stock. they're jus really fast when slightly modded.pulley, exhuast, intake, and then good luck beating one. but still even ive seen h/c/i ls1's walk over 500hp+ cobras. every one seems so scared of them but even i hav beat a cobra with full bolt-ons, it was a conv. but i still took him by aleast a 2 cars

The Cobra will have more like 420HP on the crank. But still I think a 224 Cam and headers has the advantage.

Car was driveable without the tune, but did not get any power out of it untill it was tunned.
Stock cobra's do not put down 370+ to the wheels. I have seen many on the dyno and most are in the 340rwhp range. Cold air intake will put them @ 370rwhp add a cat-back and you have a 400rwhp car.
Cobar's are dyno queens. They heat soak bad. That's why you see them with Ice bags on the blowers on dyno days. Back to back dyno runs show they loose power after every run.
If you race one. Go from a dig. The blower takes time to make power. From a roll is a cobra's sweet spot. Traction is also an issue with them from a dig. The IRS is not good for drag racing.
Power/aereo dynamics/weight/blower vs. NA = Drivers race.

I've ran a few modded Cobra's with me on a 75 shot with only a lid and catback, on a high mileage worn down 98 TA. None of the stock fbodys around here have ever had problems with the 03-04's.
You should have him covered, represent for the fbody's and the silver.
