TR224 vs stock 03 cobra
Well I ordered my TR224 112 lsa today I should have it installed next week. My neighbor has a 03 cobra stock for now. Has anyone ran against one on the street with this cam and stock heads. I ordered the package with the springs but other than that my heads are stock. I will get better heads when the buget allows for it. I have 4:11 gears in a strange 12 bolt and the rest of my bolt ons in in my sig. Just curious.
As far as my neighbor goes his cobra is getting twin turbo in a few months so I know he will be fast as hell then, but until he gets them I would like to have some fun with him. Plus the fact I am one of few F-bodys where I live.

A while back I raced an 03' or 04' cobra on the freeway WFO he could not pass me to save his life. All I have is free mods, MSD wires,a lid and a pace maf. (and factory SLP cat back) His eyes were big, that he couldn't pass, or pull.
With a cam, and tuned you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks for all of the info. I just wanted to play with my nieghbor a little before his car goes under the knife, I know I wont have a chance in hell after he goes twin turbo. He is a good guy, when we get a chance to play I post up some results.
If anyone else is local I am getting together a group to meet at pontiacs in the park. Let me know if you are interested. I am going to post more info as it gets closer to the event in the area forum.

my previous 99 ss auto stayed door to door with a stock cobra from a 50 roll all the way to 125 when i let off. i had the tr224, headers, 3500 stall, 3.73s, and full weight. the ss ran 12.20s on nittos which is better than alot of average stock cobras do (and even some modded ones).

dude the cobra don't have a chance. They are not as fast as everyone is making them out to be. The fastest stocker i have ever seen in the 1/4 was 12.90's and most with average drivers are 13.10's. I know of one particular cobra in my area, twin turbo, putting down 1200 at the wheels and he can't get out of the 12's due to turbo lag. The car run 11.80's when it was blown with a ported blower, bolt ons and pulley.
