It just depends on the overlap. You can't have any if you want to pass emissions.

If you plan on racing at the track, get the 12 bolt first.

your not going to be happy if you keep it smog legal unless you go the F/I route one way or the other. buy a cheap daily, and make yours a trailer queen...then you dont have to worry about smog issues or other stupid drivers hitting you...I know how you cali people drive...

missed the NA part, but if you want to stay smog legal why not FI? you could stay smog legal, good drivabilty with a good tuner, and make more power than you will with H/C

Buy a budget head/cam package, longtube headers, get a tune and invest the $3k left over into a roth ira or save it for a downpayment on a home, you'll thank me someday

Is this your daily driver?
Is it your only car?
How many miles do/will you put on it?
What will you use the car for? (AutoX, drag racing, street/strip, etc)
What are your goals for the car? after the $6000 and beyond?
How long will you REALISTICALLY keep this car?

These are key questions that will affect intelligent suggestions.

Moser 12 Bolt with Truetrac = $2,350.00
or Moser 9 Inch with Truetrac = $2,400.00

Six Speeds Inc Stage 4 = $1,450.00

LS6 Intake Used =$300-350
Texas Speed Rumbler X True Duals = $459.99
