Heres my logic....

If It didnt ping before the head install, then I would think it could have a slightly bent valve (since air is leaking out of the air filter on leakdown) or its not getting enough fuel due to increased air flow. Does that make sense?

I think that you need to recheck fuel pressure, on the jug while under load. Don't do this on the dyno, do it at the track. Your stock fuel pump is definately at it's limit and 30# injectors are not enough. I am running fast 36# injectors at 75% DC making 469 rwhp. Bigger injectors with a better fuel pump and see if it clears up for you. You will definately make more power and make it safer.

Mine are 36# with 58 psi so my injectors are fine with a wet kit.

Since I dont know much about tuning software, does the fuel pressure have to be monitored with a guage or can it be done with EFI LIve ?

Fuel pressure needs to be monitored via gauge. I will be putting a sending unit on the fuel rail and running one all the time after my last episode. Even with H/C LS1 30# may be close to 80% DC. Running a wet kit rules out the injectors, but not the fuel pump. Once I get my car back together this weekend, I'm ordering the Racetronix kit.....

And with 58 psi fuel pressure my 36# injectors are more like 42#....

I don't have any experience with Racetronix, but have heard nothing but good things about them. They are also a sponsor, so you can buy direct and save a little green.

Though its not for an F-body, I heard a few times that the LPE pump is better. Though they seem to be the same, people just seem to have better luck witht the LPE kit

Update:

I just drove it and the thing runs like **** !! It has no power and stumbles through the entire RPM range. Ill probably pull the heads tonight

BIG UPDATE:

Decided to do another leakdown on 5 and 7 cylinders since it seemed to get worse today while I was driving it.

5 was 10% leakage but 7 was 30% leakage and clearly was coming from the oil cap and dip stick tube. I then proceded to squirt oil in the cylinder and it fell to 13%
