I don't understand why everyone is so shocked. Hotcams can make good power. My 2000 Camaro made 380rwhp w/ the hotcam, mac headers, exhaust, lid, s2 tb, and all of this with the crappy LS1 intake and STOCK TUNING.

I made 414 with heads and longtubes and all the bolt on and a 224 cam. I think I got ripped off if all you have is a Hotcam.

I know that this guy "Dave" posts as Black Magic on www.norcal-ls1.com I think he was the first people in the country to break 400 with a hotcam also. I have seen lots of people doubt it but he had SLP LT's and hotcam with all boltons and MAFT and NO tuning oter than that. He was at the track and the front wheels came off the ground in1st and second gear. I think a lot of people simply doubt it because their super high lift cams dont produce whhat a .525 lift cam does ;-) Jealous and frustrated I guess hehe

I don't doubt those numbers at all.. I did a bunch of research on the Hotcam, as I was thinking of running it.. There have been a few stock heads M6 cars over 400 hp with the hotcam.. I'll do a search and see if I can find them.. I know one of the posted a dyno graph too.. It might have been over on LS1.com..

Congrats on the bad *** numbers

Guys, how do other H/C cars dyno on this dyno?? I mean if those cars are pulling 440-460 norm numbers then we know the dyno's off. But It should say SAE on the side if its corrected unless they use a weird format.. hell if those arent corrected and it was humid then corrected the car woulda made 420+ LMAO

i dont think anyone doesnt believe him.. they just dont see how a small cam can pull 400+ with stock heads, when most H/C M6's cant pull above 410 hp...

i dont believe in dynos and I never weill.. one could say you had 400 and the other may show 360.. if he goes to the track and traps over 118 then the cams making 400+ HP

btw, a stock M6 with slicks can yank the front wheels so that doesnt mean its a HP beast LOL

i dont doubt his numbers one bit though.... now if you go to the track and only trap 112-113 on decent 60's then you know the dyno is way off

most 224 cam M6's which dyno 380-90 hp usually atleast trap 116.6

good luck and awesome numbers

I love how people have to call BS when a Hotcam makes decent power.

My car went 117mph Through y-pipe & muffler. . . stock 16" wheels all around , 3485 lb's, 1750' DA, and it has NEVER been dyno tuned.

I'd be damned if there's a local car with a B1, T1, C1, TR224, with stock heads, no skinnies, similar weight, etc. that has run 117mph or faster.

I have a friend with a '02 WS6 T/A with pretty well the exact same mods as I (he does have the added benefit of the LS6 intake though) and he runs 12.2's at right around 117 traps. No dyno tuning, we both just use MAFT and Atap. Mine doesn't run quite as well but I've run 115+traps with the Hotcam, stock heads and mods in sig.
