Scat I-beam Rod ???
Been looking around and I can't find what the horsepower limit is for these rods. Probably would end up changing the rod bolts out with some ARP ones. Anybody know HP limit or anybody using these and what HP you running ?

The come with 7/16" ARP 8740 rod bolts, no reason to change them
we have had these up to 700rwhp
one thing to keep in mind though, they are for pressed pins
So if you bush the rods its the same price as an H beam that already bushed.

From what I understand, theyre conservatively rated. The stock rods are only "rated" for 350 HP after all. If youre running a high revving motor and need a lighter weight rod, this is a contender. If youre running a power adder and dont need a lightweight rotating assemly, the H beams might be a better bet. Personally, if I were on a budget, I wouldnt hesitate to go with the I beams. In fact, when the time comes, I probably will.

Yeah I plan on 425rwhp and like 150 shot on top. The .927 pins aren't for pressed fit pistons are they ? I thought they were spiral locked. This will be my first LS rebuild, built many "regular" SBC engines. Sounds like those rods will be fine.

i just dropped the bottom end off friday to get balance... and he said it should be done this friday... I just found the clutch on going to run and it should be here within two weeks... so i say no longer then the end of april... I just have to order bearings and bolts... but i'm really hoping for somewhere in the range of 450 to 480 on motor and 680 to 700 on the nitrous...
