im wondering what would be a good cam to make 430hp, i heard ptv might be an issue, are there any disadvantages to flycutting? i plan on doing headers and a ported tb at the same time, ive got an slp loudmouth exhaust, 25% pulley, k%n filter

i think a 233/239 cam would probably fit in there, so would a v.2 torquer. Im pretty sure youll make 430 h/p no problem with that. If i were you id hold out on the porting of the t/b and save up for a ported fast i really think it would bring out an extra 25 horses easily over the stock ls1 intake with ported t/b. With a ported 92/92 combo you could probably see 450 rwhp with that combo. Specially since your M6.

ive already got the ported tb, i do plan on getting the 90/90 or 92/92, i can always sell the intake and tb later, as well as the stock heads..kind of like a rebate lol. but anyway tell me more about the v.2 torquer, or other cams in that range.

tv2=232/234/ @ 595/598 LSA and advance will determine powerband. I wouldn't go much bigger for a DD but I'll get flamed for that for sure. You will want to run a thin gasket to improve quench and and mill heads to raise compression. Look at the big picture and plan everything to work together. Dyno section will help out here. Do your research. Somebody here has already done it already.

Yhea my 233/239 is a 233/239 duration @ .598 /.603. I love it, with the mods in sig
(stock tb and ls1 intake) I went an 11.53, lifting at the top end, and hitting the limiter on the 2-3 shift, it prolly wooda been a 11.45. However the dyno only showed 374 hp and 348 tq through the bigger converter. I suggested these 2 cams because a cam like an MS4 or MS3 or torquer v.3 all have huge exaust lifts and around .600 intake lifts. The MS3 and 4 will make more than a 233/239 a v.3 cuz of its smaller duration wont. I figured if ptv was an issue you didnt want a .640 lift of any means. When decidint just remember a v.2 torquer is rated under a v.3 which is under a 233/239. I woodnt suggest an ms3 cuz u might have to flycut. But to be honest, i dont think there would be as much as a 10 rwph difference between a v.2 and a 233/239. Just my oppinion.
