The MS4 is a great cam but you need to do more research, not every car is going to produce the same amount of power. you can always go with a 226 or 228 and walk on an MS4. The MS4 is great but it might not be the best for your setup. Take all the time you need because remember everything is based around the cam so you want to make sure you pick a good one. Its the brain of the engine, if its not right you wont be able to pull the full potential of the engine, Hope this helps

There is never too much cam, just not enough gear, stall, tire, cubic inches, head or compression =) Unless you're going to do gears and higher stall it isnt worth it to go with the really big off the shelf cams, plus once you get up there you're in the higher rpm range and you'll at least need rod bolts.

Unless you have over 4.10's and at least a 4500 stall I wouldn't run either one, it'll go faster with a smaller cam if you have less gear and stall simply because it will be in it's rpm range more and leave harder.

Why run a cam that makes peak torque at 5000+ if you only have a stock stall, it'll be a pig.

i had a tr224 cam w/full bolt ons, and had everything but heads.. And i was pushing 395rwhp and 400rwtq, my peak was @ 6000 even.. love it it was big enough you could here it but small enough where i didnt have to shift high and it die at every red light.. the tsp 224 is a little bigger and is good too. I was going to get 5.3 heads and i would have been pushing a little over 450rwtq.. hope that helps

Let me get this straight, you have a built 408 that needs nothing but a fuel system and you pulled it out and you're gonna spend money on a new cam to put in your LS1?

You should look into the "weeping purple dick" cam. I hear that thing puts down some serious juice.

If your 408 only needs a fuel system then save your pennys and finsh it up. because i have a MS4 and it's either a good cam or i have a shitty tuner. wish i had a badass 408 instead of a forged 346 any day

I think ur kinda crazy man. If it were me (and it isn't), I would leave the 402 in and Set the rev limiter to before the fuel runs out and, SELL ur ls1 and get the fuel system needed. Forget all that swapping motors multiple times when you have the resources to end up with the finished product that you want the first time

No. They discontinued both of these cams because they were way too radical.

edit: Also.... 2008?? Come on man.
