Default Cam for stock engine?

With the mods i have below, what cam would you guys suggest? I want something that will work good with the Nitrous. And i have on order a 3600 tc and 3.73 gears. Streatability is not a major concern since this is not my everyday driver.

The gears are only good for a 10th at most ans that's if you had 2.73 gears. Sweet converter. THere's where you'll get the big gain. What ever you do, don't buy a cam that will make peak power over 6,200 rpms. If you shift 400 rpms over the peak you will shift at 6,600 rpms and that is about the max for a 97-00 LS1. 01 and 02 have better rod bolts and should be OK to 6,900.

As far as the cam goes, go wit a reverse split. Nothing over 224. I went with a reverse split 220/220 (trust me its reverse at 200-400) and made 395 RWHP with stock heads and no tuning.

Here's a couple graphs from our 224R camshaft & our big 232R camshaft. Camshaft selection alot depends on your goals for the car.
