I have the C1. Dyno'd 371/371 with a lid, Hooker LT's, ORY, GMMG catback, and an ASP pulley. After I get it retuned and add a few other things (LS6 intake, ported and polished TB, short belt, true duals), I'll be gunnin' for 400 RWHP. It's got a great sound and is totally streetable...

I'll put in another vote for the TR reverse split. Nice tq curve and very streetable. The figures listed in my sig were made on a day with a 110 degree heat index and 112 degrees being seen at the intake temp sensor.

Why not just have one custom ground through comp cams for 350 bux? as for Huge cams, do you want to change valve springs often? I have .564 lift and I put down 385hp through a 12-bolt and 4.30 gears...that is on a 114lsa also. It loves the juice....

Hey Coolguy, I have a brand new C1 in the box that I was gonna sell. Never used, still wrapped in plastic. I sold my car so it never was installed. I'm in Houston too. I could save you some money and tax. Let me know. Shoot me a PM or email me.

For the M6 I like the C-2 a lot of people around me are running it and getting good numbers as well as drivability I bought one I haven't installed it yet though. Andsome one said the C-1 has a choppier idle than the C-2 is wrong the C-2 has a little more lope. C-1 222/222 566/566 112 or 114 my friend is running the 112lsa and it is fine in his auto . Good luck with your decision it is hard with all the good cams that are out right now it's hard to go wrong.

Due to an excellent factory head design, you're gonna get good results with about any cam you put in an LSx engine. It's amazing how much lift and duration these engines seem to be able to tolerate, compared to older engine designs. The truth is, there is so little difference between these cams you are considering, that you may not be able to tell the difference just from SOTP perception. The thing to do is just go with what ever you are most comfortable with.

I have the c1 with mild port work in the bowl area on the heads and 2.02 int. valves with 3 angle valve job. This little cam rocks. I just drove 320 miles to Panama city FLorida and averaged 23 m.p.g.
The low end tq. is great and works well with Nittos. You dont have to leave at a high rpm to get the car to move like the bigger cams .

BTW

Comp has at least two 224 cams for the LS1 one is a XE grind that's 224/224 .568 lift the other is a XE-R that's a 224/224 .581 lift. Sometimes it gets a little confusing.

Try the 224 on a 110lsa (106icl 224/224 565/565 comp xe on a 110lsa). I run this cam and make 380rwtq by 28-2900rpm and peak rwtq of 406 at 4800 (417 uncorrected) and 405 rwhp at 58-5900 rpm (415 uncorrected) with stock heads.

I have seen very few cams on cam only cars that mach mine for area under the curve winthin stock rev limits.
