would anyone disagree that this is a 6.125 rod. the box says 2-icr6100-927.

Don't ask me why, but yes; scat has 6.100" rods marked 6125

why would they have a rod marked 6.125 but is a 6.100 rod?

I'd either trust the box or take it to a machine shop to get measured. Like Fraser said, all the Scat 6.100" rods we've seen have had 6.125 stamped on them.

We put them in a boosted 347 making 660rwhp, no prob. Haven't seen 1 post on tech of any breaking?
