Default converter/cam

This is my daily driver.I did want a more agressive cam but did not want to change springs every 40k.I am glad that this month is my last payment that I owe on the car. What size stall to compliment the cam.I as thinking the ss3200 or 3600. I really want the 2800 vig but they are a little more than the yank. How much hp can I get from the cam with some tunning.I know I know thers better cams out there. Im just looking for a low 12. Oh my car has 3.42 gearing now since the 3.73 whined. Thanks.

You don't need a high lift cam or extreme duration to make big power

With a cam and headers, I gained 68 rwhp. I'd say it's worth it.

i made around 70 with a cam and headers, and thats also through a yank ss3600 and the taller gears, so i probably made about 110-120 crank h/p over stock. The numbers in my sig (not the 69' camaro) is cam only, i think most people would be happy with those numbers with just a cam (and only bolton headers). So you can do low 12's with even less.

ummm, agree on duration part but I dissagree on lift. Poeple are too wrapped up in numbers, and they forget to look at the curve itself and over how long it dishes out that power

Totally agree with people are too wrapped up with making huge power up top and losing power down low. Which was why i went with my custom cam. Makes power EVERYWHERE.

i went with a vig3200. good efficient street verter. happy with it so far. its pretty much comparable to a yank SS3600. i think youll be happy with a yank 3600 as alot of people are happy with theres. if your car is a daily driver you dont really want a huge cam. a 3600 stall and a proven 224 cam can definitely put you in 12's and be a nice stout setup.
