Default Do i NEED new lifters

Right now i am running a Comp 217 226 with comp 981 springs and chromolly pushrods. Do i need new lifters to put in a 232 236 576* 578* 112 LSA? Or is everything ok to just slide it in?

How many miles on those lifters? You don't necessarily need them but at like $107 for the LS7's it's really a wise investment. If for nothing else, peace of mind.

technically you don't really "need" new spark plugs either...get some ls7s, you will not regret it.

If you're just doing cam with 578 lift you probably won't need lifters. The two jobs are almost completely separate and pulling the heads is no minor task, so I would slide it in, then if you need lifters go ahead and do that job.
