That was impressive enough to do this:

Yeah, can't say I've ever heard a cammed gen III truck. Nor did I know that you could get a regular GMC with a LQ9 in it. Nasty, dude. Nasty.

Still looking for a better clip of this cam. The one that I posted at the top is uncomfirmed. I hope that is it because it sounded freakin sweet.

Man... I really want this cam. I want to figure out some way to get this thing and put it in the car. All I have right now in the way of tuning is my Vinci Tuner. I'm pretty sure that this cam is outside the working range of that tool.

Funds are tight, and I can't yet justify dropping all the loot to get a copy of HP tuners, and a wideband, and an Aeroforce... to self tune; and then all the other goodies that I want to throw on, like an edelbrock 2piece timing cover, something better than a stock unported TB, etc.

I am just wondering if I could get by on my tuner with the aid of the aeroforce gauge, plus the springs that I already have sitting on a shelf in the shop, my 7.4 comp pushrods... and then selling my hotcam and LS6 springs? Hmmmmmm.... really want to get this cam goin soon...

Yes they did. I'm planning on going with their 395 stroker kit next year (Lunati). I wanted to do it this year but the economy is a little off right now. I better wait

Gen 3 is what GM called the 4.8,5.3. and 6.0L truck engines when they first came out. My GMC came with a 4.8, I then swapped in a 5.3, then 6.0 and finally a 6.7L just for the hell of it.. What fun I'm having doing all this! Bigger is better, I think?

Oh okay. I looked and looked for a 1500 that came with an LQ9 instead of an LQ4 "out of the box" and didnt see one until 2004, i think, minus the SS.

Bringin it back from the dead. New plans could include boost down the road on a forged rebuild of my block, possibly some 243 casting heads, and my P&P TB. Want to change cams now, but boost is outside the 2 year zone. I supose I could rock this particular cam until then... but how would it do with, say, 8# to 10# of boost?

I found this post from 12/9/06.......

And this was done with the VooDoo cam I'm running (222/228, .567"/.567"-113), so just think what that 232/238 could possibly do!!!!
