Default cam timing

those ARE NOT pics of his engine , he needs to tear it back down and check it out sounds like how he's decribing his starting problems and all that he's off a few teeth

I got it from the guy that i bought the car from, he got it from MTI, they have a custom grind from comp cams.

Yea those pics arent my actual engine, but look just like it. Which cylinder on the ls1 is the number one cylinder? This time im going to check if it is at TDC before i put it back together.

Would 4 degrees be enough to make it not start, and not idle? It ALMOST idles just bearly not enough it did for a whole 30 seconds at one point, than fell on its face.

Ok well i pulled it apart, set the cam gear straight down, the 0 on the crank straight up. Checked the number one cylinder, and it is at TDC so everything should be good?

There is a local guy that i met last night after i blew his *** away (mustang driver) lol. He has a hp tuner for GM 98 and up. Im going to meet up with him today and see if i can get it tuned. The nearest place to dyno tune it is in tulsa OK. And i dont think im willing to up and drive out there for a tune.
