What are you guys with the MS4 cam shifting at? I think it peaks at 6400rpms. Is that accurate? Im thinkn of shifting at 6700 or 6900. What do you guys think?

Stock shortblock? Stay under 6500 if you want the motor to last.

Take it to the track and try setting it to shift @6700, 6800, and 6900 Whichever nets you the best ET(assuming your consistant) and MPH is where you should leave it

My buddy had the MS4 and PRC LS6 STG 1 heads in his 4400 stalled 2000 Vette and ran 11.2@119-121 (1.57-1.59 60") in +2000DA. He set the tranny to shift at 6400 because the car wouldnt make the actual shift till ~6800

From what he showed me 6800-6900 is about where you want it testing and tuning will give you the best possible ET

Dont know if this will help you or not but Matt at TSP recommended I set my rev limiter at 6700.

I dont have the software to change the shiftpoints myself so I have to get my friend to set them and put a tune in it and then go to the track. So it will be hard for me to change them very often. Was looking to just get them set once and be done with it. Thinking of setting the rev limiter at 7000.
The motor will be bone stock except for ms4 cam,921 springs,7.400 pushrods and 42lb injectors. Im thinkn of setting the shiftpoints at 6700. Would like to get the most out of it by keeping it in the power band though so if it pulls all the way to 6900 I'd rather shift there. So what do you guys think? Shift at 6700 or 6900?

I'm not sure. as you can see in the dyno it didnt even start droping. I didnt want to push my stock bottom end past 6500. I had a 3 1/2 hr drive back home with the car so I didnt want to take any chances. I was shifting at 6800 last year but I had McCord lower my rev limiter to 6500 just to be safe.

I have seen people pushing 7200 though.

I guess Imma try 6700 and see what it runs at the track and if Im not satisfied Ill up it to 6900. As long as it has a good trap speed shifting at 6700 Id rather leave it there tho.
