Has anyone accually done this?

I'm calling all over the place to find something to clean out my head bolt holes. Only one I can find has to be made and they wanted like $160 for it. Do people really pay this for a tap or use something else to clean the bolt holes.

ARP makes one for the LSxs. Around $54.

take one of the stock bolts and grind a strip on it.. (up and down on the threads) it will clean out any junk in there.. also get long q-tips like medical ones.. that works well too

canned air with a longer straw taped to it. Looked like bogies when it came out.

I did the Grind stock head bolt and works grate, Because GM uses a loctite stuff on the bolts and need to be cleaned out of the threads, I put a peace of 1/4" vac. hose on the end of my shop vac. and sucked out the water and debree from the theads.

this is what we did but diped the threads in grease and then sprayed parts cleaner in the hole and blew it out w an air hose
