Default 98 coils and brackets with centerbolt valvecovers

OK i have searched up on this, and i think i will be ok, i just need to verify.

I have 98 style coils/brackets, going on 853 based patriot stage 2 heads, im on the hunt for some centerbolt valvecovers, will I run into any issues with mounting these?

The brackets from the 98 will not fit on the center bolt covers. You will need a set of coil brackets fro a center bolt valve cover and your coils will transfer over onto them without any issue. In short you need covers with brackets.

Um. The 98s didn't use any brackets. The 98 coils bolted right to the valve cover. If you have any brackets at all, they are for 99 or newer. However, you can't just switch valve covers either. You have to get the valve cover that goes with your head. If you have perimeter bolt heads, center bolt valve covers will do you no good. The coils are the same though.

the back coil will need to be flipped around on the one, but they will bolt right up to the brackets.

ok, my coils are in storage at the moment, i thought they had little brackets on each one, so you are saying they will bolt up and flip the back one around?

they will fit, i just did mine a few weeks ago, you have to get the brackets for f-body car i beleive the part#is 12563288 they are like 12 bucks, you will need to tap the holes for the bolts on the brackets, 6mm x1.0 i think, and if you want it to look pretty get the newer style wiring harness for a 99 or newer f-body our 98 ones will work, just cant route the harness the way it is supposed to be.
