It's all in the tune when you come down to it though, so if you like the "choppy" idle, go with it and find a good tuner!!
I've got the same cam above and its a 112+3. Its a good performing cam and my tuner had no issues with it. Even adjusting the tune myself I could make it sound almost stock or sick as hell. Your tuner can make it sound how you want it to pretty easily

112 and honestly its not choppy enough. If I could do it over I would have my same duration but had it cut as a 108 or a 106 LSA

230/232 with a 113+1 LSA here absolutely love it and its all in the tune. It drives like a stock cammed car.

You can make your 112 choppy, have your tuner pull some timing at idle and see what happens

112 all the way, I drive mine daily with no issues. When the car is cold at an idle it sounds similar to my old 300/515 with a 108 I ran back 12 or so years ago. We've came along way since those days but it wasn't unbearable as a DD even back then.

Good Luck with your new cam!

I'll keep that in mind. I told him to adjust the idle and temps as he saw fit. I know he raised the idle a bit. I noticed when it get up to temp the choppy-ness tapers off a bit.

I'll have him address that, I'll have to have the tune touched up a bit when I get my exhaust squared away.

I choose 114. Is nice, but 112 would also be nice. I think the duration will make a bigger difference than the lsa as far as driveability. the 228 should be fine with either of those lsas

yea, same cam here (accept 114). It is different than stock, but still pretty good.

Unfortunately I don't have any vid of my 110lsa ASA cam with the cutouts open but hopefully next week after she gets back from the shop . Granted I'm looking at switching it out for an MS3 or G5X3 or similar with a 111 or 112 lsa gots to love my new -4 cc relief pistons lol.

Its all in the tune, I'm running the ASA cam as well (110 LSA) and I can sit in traffic with the lights on, AC blowing full blast, and the radio blaring. I bought the cam for its really nice torque curve, but the choppy idle is a nice plus.

I'd love to hear a video of the car with the cutouts open. I'm running mine through a SLP Dual/ Dual setup, so it really muffles the sound. I'm thinking about getting a cutout for events where I don't have to worry about sound restrictions.

You need to look more into overlap than LSA. If you want to cut the lope down just raise your idle. Has more to do with the power curve.
