Default patriot stage 2 heads (milled 59cc)

are these worth $400 for a used pair that need new valve springs and retainers?

is this a basic out with the old in with the new swap? or is thier alot more involved in doing the heads..

and i know i will need a tune after they are swapped.

thanks mike

I would say so......you can by a Patriot Performance Spring Kit from most sponsors on here for right around 260......

If there is more work that needs to be done, like new valves or just having them reworked you may want to check into new ones....how many miles are on the heads and why is the person removing them from his car?

not sure why he is selling them.. he said it may need a valve job.. i dont know much about heads or what is involved in doing a "valve job" or if it even needs it...
under 15k miles and he had a high lift cam..

if he mentioned it may need a valve job, I would be cautious since he had a high cam lift when the car only has 15k on the heads.....thats not many miles....
Are you able to look at the heads...if so check out them out. to see there condition.
Also call a local machine shop and see how much it would be to rework the valves and install the new springs and retainers. Then you would have a basis to work from and after that work the heads would practically be new.

Just for reference I sold my Patriot LS6 Stage II 59cc with the old welded chambers for 875 and I thought I was giving a pretty good deal. They were built for a high lift cam as well.

If you can get the 4 digit number stamped on the front of the heads, we will be glad to look up any information we have on these for you.
