Default Ported heads without sealant on the rocker bolts?

I put my ported heads on with nothing but a little motor oil on the rocker bolts. Is sealant necessary? I don't see any smoke at idle or any other time.

Its more precautionary than anything. if the car dosnt smoke and dosnt have trouble holding idle, youre probably fine. If it bothers you or it starts acting up, its only an hours work to thread seal them.

I only use Loctite on my rocker studs.

If you do it later, make sure to clean off all the oil from the bolt and threaded hole in the head.
