problem when mashing out!!

Default problem when mashing out!!

my oil pressure goes down almost to the red , then spikes back up then goes back down untill i hit the end of 2nd. what can cause this?.. a spun bearing?

I'm not sure what "mashing out" is. I assume you mean when you're WOT? Was it a gradual problem? Any mods? New cam perhaps?

my friends oil pressure went almost to 0 at wot and after awhile it was knocking and boom

mine did that and it was a spun rod bearing.

Check your oil level? Try overfilling it by a half quart and see if it stops dropping. It sounds like the oil pick up is getting uncovered in the oil pan. If that's the case, then yeah, you will probably spin a bearing. Could also be a bad gauge or sending unit, but I think it's starving for oil.
