Porting LS6 Intake
[QUOTE=sschkade;9628245]My source is a book... "Dyno-Proven GM LS1 Thru LS7 Performance Parts," not to mention the countless "online" sources like the one posted above ^^^ (thanks 95 Z28). ...and the fact that it's been discussed here on LS1Tech on several occasions (search)!
I have that book, yes the ls6 is better than the ls2 intake! its not about size its about flow!

You can match up the runners but you cant get too far up inside them. It will help, but I cant see it being worth more than a couple HP, but if you do it incorrectly, you could negatively affect performance and be down a couple HP. That being said, I did mine, and I didnt feel like I lost anything down low, which is the primary concern.
Here is my question, you plan on running a 224 cam, do you really think you are going to need 90mm tb? I think a ported stock 75mm TB and a LS6 intake would be plenty sufficient for a 224 cam.
I dont personally think the TB will be a restriction with stock heads and a 224 duration cam, are you gonna retain stock heads? If not then a better intake setup would be worth it.
