i think you'd have to measure... im not 100% positive, but most poeple can get by with a 7.400" push rod

Getting by doesn't cut it. Measure. Get a set of adjustable length pushrods and find the correct valvetrain geometry, measure the adj push rod and order a set of that length.

It all depends, do you want to wait on a set of tools to get where you are, or throw it together, have it fail, then order a set of tools along with the new parts to get you back to where you are now?
I know which one I'd do.

I mean buy a pushrod that you can adjust the length of. They are common engine building tools.
You need to use a solid lifter for checking purposes, adjust the checking pushrod until the geometry is correct then measure it and you know what size push rods to get. Doing it this way is not a guessing game.

If you put on a blindfold, reach into a box of pushrods, and install whatevers in your hand your going to have problems right? Thats basically what you're doing if you don't check, or if you use the same size recommended by a guy here who has close to what you have.

Doesn't mean it works for everyone. Why do they make different length push rods? why do they make adjustable length pushrod tools?
An engine will run with the wrong length pushrods, it all depends on how right you want to build it.
