What H/C package will give me aprox 400rwhp. Some offers???
I am searching for some H/C package that will give my car aprox 400rwhp. But i am looking for a combo that keep the car for DD and dont like the low LSA camshaft(was looking for a 114 LSA), i like cars that sound almost like stock ones, just a bit more agressive. My car is a Trans am 2001 A4, it has Flowtech 1 3/4 LT with 2.5" Y without cats, LS6 intake, 212/218 .522/.529 114 cam, Slpc cold air intake, 160 Theromos...,and the engine is like new since when i opened the engine a change all bearings , took the block to the machine shop, right now it have like 3,000miles will all that brand new. In total the car have 57,000miles.
I was looking at the TFS combos but the cam is 110LSA, i think for an A4 it will sound to agressive. I really dont know a lot so if someone have any package to offer, you are welcome. DONT matter the $$$.

well with a good set of heads, you can get 400rwhp with a HotCam. i'm hoping for at least 400rwhp with my tr230 cam, a set of P&P 241 and the new composite weiand manifold . . . but my cam is on a 111 LSA so alil on the choppy sound but i want that sound and it's my DD btw

with a decent HC combo and a good tune you can look for almost 450+ to the wheels. check out www.texas-speed.com they have good stuff there.

Okay, i just put the 400rwhp to have a point, because i am not dyno king, i just want to be in the low 12's in 1/4mile.
That tsp 230/236 on an A4 will hurt the idle or something else, because if it is a good DD cam, i looks nice and big. So to get to the 400rwhp idont need a complete set of heads and cam?? that good an cheaper.
And also to let you know i have comcams valves springs already in my stock heads, i put them when i opened the engine.
Keep throwing more DD cams that produce great HP, remember, i dont want one that is to choppy.

If you don't want a big cam, get a good set of heads and a custom ground cam. That should get you exactly what you want. If you don't mind a large cam, you can just go cam only and get your goals. All depends on how you want to make your power and what type of driveability you would like to retain.

^^^Not to attack, but why would you be 414/409 on a dynojet. Mustang dyno is not always lower, sometimes it's higher. All depends on who owns the dyno and what they set the parameters to. Every dyno is different. Numbers are numbers, the dyno is a tuning machine, not about bragging rights. Just my opinion.

I was looking at the Trick Flow heads, they have a smaller combustion chamber also. But will i benefit using those heads even if my cam is that small??
I was looking at this because i was reading some articles a books, and saw an LS1 almos with the same mods as mine and same cam, and when they change the stock ls1 heads for the TFS heas, the hp increase by 52 and torq by 56, but that WASNT in the wheels, it just was the engine.
How much rwhp can i see if i install those heads???? I am A4,LS6 intake, LT no cats, ported TB and slp cold air intake.
RIght now, tuned, i put 352rwhp and 355torq, the car drives good, not choppy, and has a lot of torq. The AFR was set at 12.3-12.4. It iddle perfectly even at 500-600rpm.

so your trying to LOSE HP?????

With the cam you already have there, A set of AFR's or some ported LS6 heads will get you there easy. you can do cam only but you may not like the driveability. Good luck.
