Default LQ4 with trak cam questions

I have a LQ4, was hoping it was a LQ9 but its not, I already have a trak cam, will I have any pvc issues with this cam if i mill the 317 heads to get the compression up? It has the dished pistons. What should I do?

I'd go L92 and get a custom cam ground.

Your concern is with ptv issues, not pcv. I don't know how well L92 heads flow. I know 317's are similar to 243 castings, but with larger combustion chambers. If you don't mill the heads a crazy amount, I don't think you will have any ptv clearance issues.

Thanks, I talked to Texas Speed and they said I can't mill them enough to run my cam, so I'm looking for Ls6 heads.

dont build you car around the cam, i would use the l92`s and sell your cam, notch the pistions and mill the heads some.

It's not that simple...
What are your power goals?
How is the car going to be used? Street/Track?

please go with the L92!!!! it flows over 300cfm out of the box! get a custom cam too like they say.
L92 love small cams; check with synergy motorsport in the dyno section.something in the 22x range ...
